My brother had knee surgery on Wednesday (Jan 26th), so I made him a get well card. He is into farming so I had to include that into the card. Some day he hopes to have his own farm again. He raises a few goats, so put a cute little goat on there.
Everything was cut on the Cricut. The goat is from Animal Kingdom, the boy is from Everyday Paperdolls. There is a farmer dude on there, but my brother doesn't wear overalls or a buttoned shirt, so cut out jeans and a sweatshirt. The jeans is from the rocker on that cartridge, the sweatshirt, cap, and shoes are from the pumpkin guy (I think). The crutches are from the nurse. The barn and tractor I think are from the same cartridge with the farmer. I even colored the hair gray like my brothers. lol
I hope he likes it.

The cardbase is Bazzill Smoothies. I don't know the name of the pink paper, but I got it at Michael's. The sentiment is by CTMH.

Believing in Me
Sometimes a card just comes together without much effort and you wonder how that happened. This was one of those times. The image is a rubber stamp by The Greeting Farm. I colored it with Copics and what helped was I colored it in after picking out the paper. I have lots of images all colored just laying in a drawer because I don't have paper that matchs.
The patterned paper is TAC, not sure if it is current or not. It was one of their 8x8 packs. The sentiment stamp is also by TAC. The cardbase is Bazzill and the rest of the cardstock is from Hobby Lobby.

A couple more Valentine cards
Here are a couple more Valentine cards from this past weekend.
This image is from Designed2Delight for their weekly challenge. Colored it with Copics, added Stickles on for the confetti. The paper is just scraps I have. The paper matched so nice which was a surprise since I had colored the image before finding the paper.
The stamps for this card are from CTMH, both retired sets. The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby. The dark pink is from my new Bazzill Smoothies cardstock, I finally broken down and started using my new stash. The white is Georgia Pacific and the light pink is from a variety pack from Hobby Lobby. Pink ribbon is from Wal-Mart.

100th Post!!!!
Wow, 100 posts on my blog seems like a lot, but not when it took me almost 3 years to get there. I am really trying to post more each week, so hopefully I can get to 200 posts a lot quicker.
I get many requests for generic cards. Cards that can be used for any occasion. They were hard to do at first since I was so used to planning the card around a theme like birthday or get well. But now they are easier. I still like to do the occasion specific ones, but the generic ones can be faster to design and make.
The paper on this card is by CTMH, it is a retired paper pack. The bird is from the Stampin' Up punch (thanks Melissa). The birdhouse was cut on the Cricut using the Create-a-Critter cartridge with a couple small modifications. The ribbon was from either Wal-Mart or Michaels. The cardbase is Bazzill.

Love Ewe!!
I love it when a plan comes together except when it is almost 10:00 at night. lol I was only going to print this digital image last night so it was ready to work on the next day, but then an idea came to me. And then when I pulled out the green patterned paper by K & Company, I knew I had to get the card done right away. The digital image and sentiment are by Designed2Delight as part of their weekly challenge. This cute little set is free right now, but only until midnight on Thursday. You can find them here. The sketch for the card came from Stamp TV's weekly sketch challenge. Gina K's website is here.
The cardbase is by Georgia Pacific, the patterned paper is by K & Company, the green cardstock is Bazzill Smoothies. It was embossed using Swiss Dots. Copics were used to color the image. The flower is by Prima and the brad is from SU. I pop dotted the lamb's head and the heart to add a little more cuteness to it.

Valentine Cards
Over New Years weekend I set out to make Valentine cards to send to the troops serving over seas. I send them through an organization called Operation Write Home. Check out their button on the right side of this blog.
I made 12 different cards and in total sent a box out with 77 cards in it. I hope they like them. I normally don't make Valentine cards so I was worried how it would go, well designing that many cards in 3 days went pretty fast. I had help from my best friend and creative genius, Christine, when I went to her house on Saturday and we were crafty for about 11 hours.
Here are the cards I made:
The 2 aliens cards in yesterday's post were ones I made that weekend also.

I had help from my best friend and creative genius, Christine, when I went to her house on Saturday and we were crafty for about 11 hours.
Here are the cards I made:
The paper is from Hobby Lobby. The little heart in his paws is from the George & Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge. The squirrel and saying are from the Create a Critter cartridge.
The hearts were cut with the George & Basic Shapes cartridge. Sentiment stamp is from CTMH. Ribbon from Wal-Mart.
Designer paper is from Hobby Lobby, cardbase is Bazzill. Sentiment stamp is CTMH, and the lip stamp is TAC. Ribbon from Wal-Mart.
Cardbase is from TAC. The white is a pearl paper that I got from a local stamping store that is closed, I have no idea of the name of it. And I really wish I did, as I am out now and want more. I embossed the white with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. Cut the heart out using my Cricut and Design Studio and the George & Basic Shapes cartridge. Red cardstock is from CTMH. Sentiment stamp is from TAC. Twine was from my friend, don't remember where it came from.
Cardbase is old cardstock I had. Designer paper is from Hobby Lobby. The bird and sentiment stamp is from TAC.
Cardbase is Bazzill. The designer paper is from DCWV, and I have had it FOREVER. Sentiment is from TAC. The rhinestone heart was a gift from my friend. I think she said they came from Michaels.
Cardbase is TAC. Green cardstock is a misc piece from my stash. The blue is from Hobby Lobby and then embossed using the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder. The heart was a handmade chipboard embellishment. I cut 5 hearts out of Kraft cardstock on the Cricut using the same cartridge mentioned a few times already. Then I glued them together to make a chipboard piece. The tag was punched using a Martha Stewart punch. The string was Scrappers Floss.
Cardbase is paper I got at a garage sale, so no idea who makes it. It is shiny on one side and solid on the other. The line around the card was hand drawn (with the help of a cardstock template). The hearts were cut out on the Cricut. Stamps were from CTMH. Ribbon was from The Ribbon Retreat.
Cardbase is Kraft paper from Marco Papers. Ribbon is grosgrain from Michael's. Designer paper was scraps, cut on the Cricut. The smaller heart is pop dotted. The sentiment is from CTMH.
This beautiful card was designed and created by Christine. It is my favorite one. I finished making the rest of the cards that were sent in the box to OWH. Didn't she do a great job?!!
Stamp image and sentiment are from TAC. The cardstock is from TAC. I don't know where the L O V E stickers are from.
The 2 aliens cards in yesterday's post were ones I made that weekend also.

From the Heart Blog Hop with The Angel Company
Be honest when you think of Valentine's Day, you think of aliens from other planets, right? You don't?? Must be just me. lol
This cute little guy is part of an adorable stamp set by The Angel Company, called Valentine. You can check out the rest of the stamp set here. I thought these cards worked for the "From the Heart" blog hop that TAC is having for the next few days. Find them here.
Thanks Christine for showing me the cool technique to make the alien look more alien. lol

Cupcake Birthday Card
This card was made for Designed2Delight's weekly challenage. This time they suggested we use the extra digital image with a new way along with the main image. So this is what I came up with. I printed the rose image as a background, in colored ink. Then printed the main image and colored it in with Copics. The dp is retired CTMH, the green cardstock is also CTMH and the cardbase is Bazzill. Ribbon and sentiment is from CTMH.
You can check out Designed2Delight's other digital images here.
