Birthday card with metal

I had been eyeing the diamond plate Cuttlebug embossing folder since it came out, but until I met Heidi at Christine's April card workshop, I didn't know what to do with it.  Heidi was telling about this thin aluminum she got at Hobby Lobby that she embossed with the Cuttlebug.   I had to check it out and after some searching in the store (well okay, I wasn't searching, I wander the store every time I go, just to look at everything!!) I found the metal she was talking about.   It is in the unfinished wood section, in a roll sold by K & S Metal.    I had some difficulties cutting it with my paper trimmer, but was able to get my desired pieces with a ruler, pen, and scissor.  I love the look it has after embossing.  I can't wait to make more fun things with it.  Thanks again Heidi!!!!!!!

Someone on SplitcoastStampers gave me the sentiment suggestion.

Freedom Duckie

I have recently discovered digital stamps and finally this past weekend I had time to play with some.    Digital stamps are similar to clipart, but they are not colored in, so you can do that yourself.   Another great thing about them is, you can print them in any size or direction you wish.   I'm sure we have all had those moments when a stamp we had just wasn't the right size, either too big or too small.  Now with digital stamps, you can make it fit your exactly project.

I made this duckie card this weekend with a stamp I got from Busy Beauties Boutique.  I love rubber duckies!!!

I printed the duck onto camo paper, cut the duck out, then glued it down on top of the same image that I printed onto white cardstock.  I colored in the hat and the bubbles.  Added some stars, and a sentiment with mini brads.

Thank You Card

Wow, where does the time go.  I was going to be better about posting on here, but it has been 21 days since my last entry.  Sorry.

This is a card I'm making for a customer who ordered 100 to use for their business.  Yep, you read that right, 100!!    Can you tell that I'm excited.   :o)   All this got started because I gave the business owner a birthday card that I made at Christine's card workshop, see it here.  It's a long story at how it all came together for me to make these Thank You cards for them.

I love this stamp set, I can't wait to do more cards with it.
