Designed2Delight Valentine Card

My favorite memory from Valentine's Day as a kid was getting a Valentine heart filled with candy.   Mine were never as big as the one on the card, but it had chocolates in it just the same.  :)

I am posting this card as part of a submission to Designed2Delight's guest designer call.   I'll let you know how I do.

In Memory of. . .

This isn't crafting related, but I found some old pictures while cleaning my craft room.  These pictures were taken in 1990 while I was at a Youth Retreat.  I was a senior in high school.   The girls in the pictures with me are Mary and Melissa.   They were amazing people and the type of Christian I wanted to be like.   They were killed in a car accident in June of 1991.   They were 16 and 17.   I never got to say goodbye and I never went to their funerals which I regret to this day.  I miss them all the time but I'm thankful that I will see them again in heaven.

I post this, not to make you sad as I am now, but to remind you how fragile life is.   Don't miss an opportunity to tell those who you care about that you love them.  Friends are a gift from God, thank Him for them.
