Sympathy Card

Here is another card made using Christine's sketch.  Her sketch was a bit of a challenge for me, but I like it, so made 2 cards with it.

The stamp set is by The Angel Company, and the patterned paper is an old packet from Stampin Up.

Silly Monkey

I just love my Cricut.   Copic markers are still my favorite, but the Cricut comes in a close second.  I've had my current machine since February and just recently figured out some things that were frusterating me about it, so now that I know how to use it properly, I love it even more.

The monkey on this card was cut out using the Cricut cartridge "Create a Critter".   He comes with the vine and the bananas.   Boy was it fun cutting him out and making this card.  The cardstock is Bazzill, and the patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby.

I used this week's Simple Sketch from my friend Christine.  Her blog is here

Have a Happy Harvest

Another card with a digital image.   Surprised, aren't you!!  :o)   This image is from Dustin Pike at Doodle Dragon Studios, it is part of his 2009 collection.   You can view his blog here.  The patterned paper is from Close to My Heart, the orange cardstock is from Michael's, I think it is Bazzill, but not sure.  The mini brad is also from Michael's.    I cut the sentiment tag out on my Cricut using the George cartridge.

Pink rose card

This card turned out nicer than I thought it would.  Isn't that fun when that happens.  The rose is a digital stamp from Bird's Cards.  Her stuff is free and it can be found here

I bet you can't guess what I used to color in the flower!!!  LOL!!  Yep, Copic markers.  They are my new best friend.    The paper is a retired paper packet from Close to My Heart.   Boy, I need to update my paper stash.   :o)   The bow was made using the Bow Easy (thanks for showing me that Christine!!!)

Fishin' Around Card

Happy Monday!!!  It is a happy Monday for me since I don't work on Mondays and can sit at home making cards all day.   Hope it was a good day for everyone who had to go to work today.

A monkey in an inner tube while fishing is not an image I have seen before, that is until this little guy came along.   He is a digital stamp from Delightful Inspirations for their challenge this week.   You can buy him from their store, here, and after you post your creation you made with him on their blog, you will get a new digi stamp free on Friday!  Doesn't that sound like fun?  Hope you can join me.

The paper is by CTMH, a old paper packet long retired (I have tons of this stuff, and love it, so use it alot.)   Of course he was colored in with Copics.   The cool shape was cut out on my Cricut using the phrase shape that comes with the raccoon on the Create a Critter cartridge (page 33 of the handbook).   (I love my Cricut!!)

A girl and her best friend

Who says dogs are a man's best friend.   This little girl looks pretty comfortable hanging out with her best friend.    The digital image is by Mo Manning, and it comes in a boy image also. (African American kids too).   Her blog is here.

The card was made for Mo's Digital Pencil's Challenge this week which is "Thank Heaven for Little Girls".   And the layout of the card was from Christine's blog for her weekly simple sketches.  She can be found here.

Happy Halloween

Okay, I know what you are thinking, Halloween??  It is only the middle of August.  Well, I received a request to make some Halloween cards and send them out east.  So I did.   You saw the witch already, and here are the rest of her friends.   They are all part of the August stamp of the month by The Angel Company.   View it here.

The images were colored in with Copics and the paper is from Michael's, don't have the names in front of me now.

Autumn Day

After the unbearable heat wave we have had it is nice to think about the cooler weather that comes with fall, but I'm not ready for what comes after that.  Christmas is my favorite holiday, but I just wish it didn't come with snow.   Which is hard since I live in Minnesota.

Anyway, the card below is made using a digital stamp from Delightful Inspiration.   It is part of their challenge this month.   You can see their stamps here.

The cardstock is by Die Cuts with View, except the Kraft paper.  I don't know where that is from, I got it from a local stamping store right before they closed.  :o(   The image was colored with Copics.   The green square and the image square were pop dotted to add a little more to the card.   The sentiment was a retired stamp by Close to My Heart.

Beary Cute Baby Card

This card didn't start out as a baby card, but that cute little bear is perfect for one.    I'll have to do a boy card next.  :o)   I created this card for a challenge using a friend's simple sketch.   The image and challenge is by Delightful Inspiration's blog.

The Simple Sketch is by Christine over at her blog

The paper is by CTMH (retired years ago), the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, and I can't remember where the brads are from.  And of course the bear was colored in with Copics.

Frog soup anyone?

LOL!!  This little frog in this stamp just cracks me up.   This stamp is by The Angel Company, it is part of the August stamp of the month set.  See it here.

I really don't think she making frog soup, she is taking him for a walk.   Ya, that works.  A walk.   Not sure why she has to carry him in such a large pot though.   :o)

The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

This is little guy reminds me of my nephew, Luke, when he was a baby.   And of my niece, she didn't have hair until she was almost 2.   lol   (Sorry Moriah.)

The card is for this week's challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog.  The theme this week, is "Things with Wings".    I like how the dragonfly looks on the card, just adds to the fall look of the card.

Let's monkey around today!!

I love this monkey and the paper.   The monkey is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  And the paper is part of an old paper packet from Close to My Heart.  I got it back in 2006 and I still have tons of it left.  :o)

This card is based on the Simple Sketch for this week from Christine over at her blog, found here.   I was surprised at how fast I was able to create this card, normally I agonize for hours over which paper to use, what size the pieces should be, etc.  Thanks for the great sketch, Christine.

Car Card, not just for the guys anymore!!

Okay, some would say that this card is a "guy card" because it is blue and brown, but my favorite color is blue and right now I am totally obessed with brown in my crafts and home decor.  (I want to paint my living room brown!!!)

I have had this paper for a long time so can't remember where it came from.   The stamp is part of a great set by The Angel Company, you can see it here

I inked the edges of the white cardstock with blue and brown chalk ink.   I like how this turned out.

I have been having a hard time getting good pictures of my cards and the set up for this card gave me an idea.  I will make a "photo box".   Kind of like a "light box", but cheaper (don't have to buy 3 lights for it).  I just need a nice neutral space to take a picture of the card where I can set the camera on something instead of holding it.   A good project for me for the weekend.

Gone Fishing

Fourth of July weekend, my brother, SIL, and the kids came to visit and Saturday morning we went to a local park to fish.   When they finally found the right spot to fish, the kids caught about 10 to 15 fish, mainly sun fish and croppies, but they loved it.   I scrapbooked the pictures and included on my layout a wonderful digital stamp that Maurie at Mo's Digital Pencil drew (with a little suggetion from me!!).   Her stuff is great, check out her website here.

I colored in the digital image with Copic markers to match the colors that Luke and Moriah were wearing that day.   I am excited at how it turned out.   The little fishies were cut out on my Cricut.

Birthday Party Card

The digital stamp image is from Bugaboo Stamps.  They have 1 or 2 free images each Friday.  Check them out here

The image was colored in with Copic, of course.  lol   The paper is from Hobby Lobby.

I thought this card would be great for kids.
